Introductory Module: Student Workplace Health and Safety, and Conduct Induction

In preparation for your placement, you must understand workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements. To support the development of your knowledge and skills, James Cook University requires all students to complete the mandatory introductory module, "Student Workplace Health and Safety, and Conduct Induction".

To access the module in LearnJCU, select Organisations and, under the Essential heading, select Student Workplace Health and Safety, and Conduct Induction. The module consists of eight parts and a Declaration of Completion, which you must acknowledge. It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

The Professional Experience Placement Team will be notified when you complete the training. Your profile in the University Placement System, InPlace, will then be updated to reflect your compliance.

This is a mandatory pre-placement requirement. You cannot commence your placement until you have completed the module.
