JCU's Bebegu Yumba and Nguma-bada campuses have provision for vehicle hire for staff and students. The University provides a system of short-term vehicle hire bookings for business and research purposes.
Vehicle types include buses, 4WDs, utilities and passenger carrying vehicles. All vehicles are fully maintained and hire includes use of a fuel card.
Queensland road rules apply to all drivers of JCU vehicles, as do interstate road rules, where applicable.

Book a vehicle
Book a vehicle using our online booking system or via the AUSFLEET App, use client code AZJCU0501 (JCU login required).
PhD Students are not automatically set up on the booking system. Please email vehicles@jcu.edu.au for access.
Vehicle Pick up and Returns:
Business hours: 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday
Townsville - Pick up between 8am - 10am, Return 3pm - 4pm
Cairns - Pick up between 8am - 10am, Return 2.30pm - 3.30pm
Outside of these hours, vehicles are to be collected or dropped off at the Security office.
JCU Fleet Vehicles does not support one way travel between Nguma-bada and Bebegu Yumba Campuses. Vehicles are to be returned to their place of collection.

Completed forms should be forwarded to vehicles@jcu.edu.au or submitted to the Fleet Manager, Estate Directorate.
