A Battery‐free Graphene‐based Wireless Biosensor for Food Monitoring

Title of Project

Memristors for computing: from Basic Logic Design to Neuromorphic Learning Machines

Name of Advisor/s

Mostafa Rahimi Azghadi and Mohan Jacob

College

College of Science & Engineering

Summary of Project

This project aims to significantly improve the sensitivity, power consumption and cost of biosensors. To that end, the project will develop an ultra‐sensitive, battery‐free, and wireless sensor made completely out of graphene. The project proposes to use the unique properties of graphene, such as nanometre scale, flexibility, and 2‐D structure, to significantly increase the sensitivity. The intended application for this project is food monitoring.
