Summary of Project

Most international travellers do not seek pre- and post-travel advice. There is a good understanding of knowledge, attitudes and perceptions (KAP) of travellers attending travel clinics. For obvious reasons it is much more difficult to understand the KAP of people who choose not to seek travel advice. In this project we want to explore the KAP of international incoming and outgoing travellers (tourists and business travellers) by conducting a cross-sectional study. The aims are (i) to have a better understanding of tourist’s KAP, (ii) develop tools and policies to facilitate travel health care seeking behaviour and (iii) provide health promotion if needed.
