How to use this checklist

Follow the steps in order. Start with Stage 1 and complete each requirement sequentially. Click on each blue requirement link for detailed instructions and access to the relevant forms.
Submit your evidence. Email the required documents as PDF attachments to healthplacements@jcu.edu.au.
Meet the deadline. All requirements must be completed by 9:00 am on 19 May 2027.
Check approval in InPlace. Submission alone does not mean a requirement is complete. Check InPlace to confirm that each item has been reviewed and approved.
Monitor expiry dates. Keep track of the expiry dates of your documents and ensure that all requirements remain valid throughout your course.

Stage 1 — Start Immediately when you enrol in your course

Start here: Complete these requirements as soon as you commence your course. Some checks, vaccinations and training may take several weeks or months. You cannot attend placement until all applicable requirements have been submitted and approved

Working with Children Check – Blue Card	Apply for your WWCC NOW	Send in your Registration Account Number or current Blue Card to be linked to JCU	Every 3 years
National Criminal History Check	Apply to the Australian Federal Police NOW	Copy of National Criminal History Check	Every 3 Years
