It is a government requirement for JCU to collect details about your educational background.

If you answer Yes to the question Year 12 Completed, you must also provide the year you completed.  If you answer No to the question Year 12 Completed, do not enter a year.

Education not only includes traditional schooling but also other qualifications such as trade certificates.  There are a number of options to select from and the table below details the options available:

Types of Level

Description

No Prior Educational Attained

Select this level if you did not complete Year 12.

Secondary Education

Select this level if you completed Year 12 only.

TAFE Award

Select this level if you completed a TAFE Award but have not since completed any other tertiary studies.

Complete VET Award

Select this level if you have received a VET Award. This may not necessarily have been received through a TAFE but through a private training provider.

Incomplete VET Award

Select this level if you started but did not complete a VET Award. This may not necessarily have been received through a TAFE, but through a private training provider.

Incomplete Course

Select this level if you have undertaken an undergraduate course at a tertiary institution such as TAFE or University but did not complete the course.

Sub-Degree

Select this level if you completed a Certificate or Diploma course at a University.

Bachelor

Select this level if you completed a Bachelor course at a tertiary institution.

Postgraduate

Select this level if you completed a Postgraduate course at a tertiary institution.

Other Qualifications

Select this level if you have obtained qualification/s not listed elsewhere in this table. This may be specific industry qualifications.
