Tips for exam success

There are a number of ways you can prepare for your exams. Here are some tips to help you prepare, study, stay focused and succeed.

What kind of exam?

Exams will be delivered either on-campus or online and can take several forms including multiple choice, short answer, essay style or combinations of these. It’s your responsibility to find out as much information as you can about your exam from your lecturer or subject coordinator. Valuable information is often communicated in the final lecture or tutorial.

Prepare for Exam Success

The Learning Centre has put together lots of resources to help you prepare at home for exams:

On this page you will find:

Past exam papers

Past exam papers are no longer available through the Library (as of December 2025). This change reflects evolving assessment methods, the rise of AI tools, and the fact that new exams are no longer submitted to the Library.

Access to past exams is managed by individual subject coordinators, so please check with your teaching staff to see if and how you can access previous exam papers or practice questions.
