Online Applications Frequently Asked Questions and Troubleshooting

My session has timed out?

If you have been inactive for a period of time, your session may time out. You can click on the link provided in the error message and log back into Online Applications.

Do I provide my street or postal address?

You should provide your current contact address. This will be the address JCU uses to send you information.

What if my visa is still being processed?

If you do not currently hold a visa but intend to or have applied for one, you should indicate the citizenship status based on your visa application.

What if my Country of Birth or Main Language spoken at home is not listed?

Please contact the Student Centre and request that your country of birth or main language at home be added so that you can continue to complete your application.

What if I do not know if I am of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent?

If you are not sure of your cultural background then answer No.   If you do confirm at a later date that you are of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, you can update this information using eStudent.

What information is available concerning disability support services, equipment and facilities?

What do the (CW) / (Extended) mean after the Course Title?

If you are not sure about the course you have selected, please go to Courses & Degrees on the JCU website and view the information provided. If you still need help contact the relevant faculty. Faculty contact information can also be found on Courses & Degrees pages for each individual course.

Once you have submitted your application, you can choose to Print a Cover Sheet immediately. If you forget to print a Cover sheet just go back to the Application Summary Page, click on View the Selected Application and Print the Cover Sheet.

Your application will be assessed as quickly as possible.   JCU will contact you if we believe the assessment process will take longer than expected.

You can log into eStudent at any time and check the progress of your application.
