In 2021, JCU initiated Shape My Campus, a student engagement project to help us understand what types of study spaces students wanted as this was identified as a popular request from students in the biennial SSAF survey.
A consistent theme from students was a need for more bookable peer to peer spaces that could be used for study, collaboration, and interaction with others.
As a result, JCU is pleased to announce new bookable Student Study Hubs at the Bebegu Yumba, Townsville, and Nguma-bada, Cairns campuses. The Study Hubs are spread across campus locations so that access and safety are assured. They are in addition to the existing library-based Study Rooms.
