I'm Anita and I'm based on the Nguma-bada Campus in Cairns. As a dedicated member of the College of Arts, Society, and Education, I provide support to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Before joining James Cook University (JCU), I enjoyed a successful career as a business owner and retail manager. My passion for teaching eventually led me to make a significant career change, where I discovered my love for teaching English and Humanities. This experience has been invaluable in shaping my current role in the tertiary education sector. My primary goal is to help you succeed and take pride in achieving your academic and personal goals. I believe that every student has the potential to excel, and I'm here to support you on your journey. My name is Jorden, and I am part of the Student Success Team at James Cook University Townsville on the Bebegu Yumba campus. I have always been driven to support others in reaching their personal and academic goals, hence I became a teacher and taught across various schools in Townsville over eight-year period. In that time, I also did some group personal training as I am very passionate about health, fitness, and all things wellbeing. As someone who has been a student and worked across these settings, I am a strong advocate for finding ways to kick goals whilst achieving a balanced lifestyle. I am someone who doesn’t hesitate to go out of my way to help others, and I hope that in some way I can help you too!
