I’m Anita, and I’m based on the Nguma-bada Campus in Cairns. I work across the College of Business, Law and Governance (CBLG), the College of Arts, Society and Education (CASE), and the Graduate Research School (GRS), providing dedicated support to postgraduate and higher degree by research students. My primary goal is to support your success and help you feel confident and proud as you work towards your academic and personal goals. I believe every student has the capacity to excel, and I am committed to offering guidance, encouragement, and practical support throughout your studies. Hi, I’m Kirby and I am here to support you in achieving success throughout your studies. I am based at the Bebegu Yumba Campus in Townsville, and I am also a JCU Alumni, having completed a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Indigenous Australian Studies. With my experience as a former student and through nine years of working closely with students, I understand the challenges that university life can present. My role is to walk alongside you, provide guidance, and help you build the confidence needed to reach your academic and personal goals. While university can be demanding, the right support and encouragement can make a meaningful difference. Hi, I’m Tess and I bring over 20 years of experience in student support, working with both domestic and international students. I hold a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Sociology and Welfare Studies. Following my undergraduate studies, I spent two years in Japan teaching English as a Second Language before returning to Australia to complete my Master’s degree in Welfare Studies. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to supporting students throughout their academic journeys. My professional focus is on assisting students to achieve their educational goals while fostering a positive and enriching university experience. As a Student Success Officer, I will work closely with you and connect you to the appropriate services, resources, and assistance whenever required.
