Meg Marmont

I’m Meg and I’m based in Townsville on the Bebegu Yumba campus, and my role is to support students in the College of Business, Law and Governance. Before starting at JCU in 2024, I spent around 20 years teaching in Australia and overseas, including Burundi, Kenya and Uganda. Most recently I taught in alternative education, working with students from diverse backgrounds. My goal is to empower students to achieve their fullest potential by providing unwavering, personalised support. I believe in creating a nurturing environment where each student feels valued and understood, and where their unique strengths are recognised and developed. By offering tailored resources, encouragement, and constructive feedback, I aim to inspire confidence and foster a growth mindset. Together, we will tackle challenges, celebrate successes, and build the skills and resilience needed for lifelong achievement and success.
