Description

These noisy birds, with a raucous call can be seen intermittently on campus. Frequently they are eating fruits on various gum trees or feeding on nectar, their presence is often indicated by numerous bits of plant on the ground. The body is predominately white with an erectile yellow, curved crest on the head, there is yellow on the lower side of the wings and on the underside of the tail. Legs and feet are dark grey, eyes dark brown surrounded by a white eye-ring, bill is dark grey.
