Description

The larvae are attended by species of Iridomyrmex. They feed on a variety of shrubs and trees particularly species of Acacia including Vachellia (Acacia) bidwillii and some eucalypts. Mature larvae brown or green with a grey line and reddish-brown bands: head pale brown. Adults dark brown with an iridescent bluish central area, hind with two or more large black spots near the black tail; lower surface greyish-brown, darker irregular markings, spots prominent on hind wing.
