Description

This small owl looks as though it has been given two black eyes, it can occasionally be seen by the observant along the creek areas or heard by the call of ‘mo-poke’ Body various shades of brown interspersed with white, underparts cream with darker streaks or mottles. Legs and feet pale blue-grey, eyes in the adult, greenish-yellow, bill blue-grey.
