Description

This small bird is commonly found in tropical and subtropical rainforest or associated areas, where it may be seen hopping over leaf litter on the rainforest floor. Easily recognized by the very short green tail, green back and shoulders with buff to yellowish underparts. The head and throat are black, crown chestnut with black. Legs and feet pink, eyes black, bill black.
