Description

The food plant of the larvae is kangaroo grass, Themeda triandra. Mature larvae 18 mm long, body pinkish-brown with a number of lines, anal segment with a forked projection; head pinkish-brown with darker brown patches and 2 projections. Adults pale orange with dark brown margins, 1 prominent and 1 small eyespot on the hind wing; lower surface pale orange with 2 spots per hind wing.
