Description

This butterfly is usually present in October and March, juveniles may denude the fresh

foliage of Pongamia (Millettia pinnata). Larvae build tents by folding a leaf to pupate.

Mature larvae about 3.5 cm long, body variable in colour, greenish-grey to grey brown

to purplish brown, with black, yellow and brown longitudinal lines. Adults dark brown on

upper surface, lower brown with a narrow white band on hind wing.
