Description

This goanna is found more commonly in rainforest areas than in drier areas. The basic body colour varies from green to grey to black but with numerous cream spots. It appears to change colour to match the local tree trunks. Will hunt on the ground as well as in trees, when disturbed it retreats to trees. Feeds on smaller lizards, insects and baby birds
