Description

The larvae of this species feed on blady grass, Imperata cylindrica (Blady grass) and possibly several other grass species. Mature larvae 17 mm long, body pale pinkish-brown with darker brown lines and numerous hairs, anal segment with a forked projection; head pale brown. Adults dark brown with one large eyespot per wing; lower surface basically yellowish to greyish-brown with darker brown striations and eye spots.
