Description

Often referred to as the ‘Mudlark’ or ‘Peewee”, this bird is common on both campuses and in surrounding urban and native areas. Distinguished by the various black and white patterns, which are slightly different between the sexes and a distinctive voice. Usually in pairs they are aggressive towards other birds. Legs and feet black, eyes white, bill white with a darker grey tip.
