Description

This small bird is uncommon on the Townsville campus but can be found at times near water. This bird has a dull brown body, a thin pale line under the eye but the underparts are distinctive. They are pale with dark brown arcs so they appear as though scalloped. Legs and feet dark, eyes pinkish-red, bill pinkish-red.
