Distinguishing features

Plant densely covered with stellate hairs. Leaves narrowly ovate to oblong to 6.5 cm long, usually about 2 cm. Flowers yellow, 1-5 per axil, calyx with 10 ribs, densely stellate hairs. Mericarps 5 with 2 conspicuously erect awns.
