Distinguishing features

Prostrate to semi-prostrate, stem square in cross section; leaves opposite, ovate, margins crenate. Flowers in clusters, up to 20, tubular, mauve or yellow. Fruit small, blackish berries. Yellow form is usually the cultivar “pot of gold”.
