Description

This fungus grows in clusters on mulch, leaf litter or on trees. Caps conical, pale grey 2-3 cm diameter, with a distinct umbo or protuberance at the top. Caps broaden with age, gills free, spores dark. Stalk or stipe slender. This fungus is very similar in appearance to another Mycena subgalericulata but the latter has white spores.
