Description

This native shrub or small tree has opposite, softly hairy leaves to about 12 cm long, and 7 cm wide. The fragrant, white to yellowish flowers have 6 petals. The fruit is large firm, green globular to sausage shaped up to 4 cm long, calyx persistent. This genus has been known as Gardenia and briefly as Kailarsenia! Flowering summer.
