Description

This tropical pine is fast growing and when young has a typical cone-shaped appearance. The needle-like leaves to 25 cm long are usually grouped in 3’s. The cones are subterminal on the branchlets to about 10 cm long prior to opening. These trees in general do not do well in the dry hot climate of Townsville.
