Description

A tall tree growing to 48 m in natural habitat in Cape York, buttresses often present when trees are fully grown; bark flaky. Leaves more or less ovate, intramarginal vein absent, petioles range from 1-3 cm long. Flowers in terminal panicles, often clustered at the tips of each ultimate branchlet of the inflorescence; petals 4 white or cream. Fruit a white or cream berry to 6 cm long and 4.5 cm wide.
