Description

A feature of this tree is the bright pink new growth. Leaves 2.5-6 cm long with a very distinct drawn out drip tip, numerous oil dots present. Flowers white, fruit ovoid 9-12 mm long, dull pink to red, in bunches at the edge of the foliage. These fruits are popular with many birds. Many cultivars of this species are available.
