Description

This palm is endemic to the Cape Melville area on Cape York, where it grows among large granite boulders in full sun. A solitary palm not unlike Normanbya it can be distinguished by the very bushy pinnate leaves formed by the pinnae dividing again. Fruit red to 6.5 cm long. It is now grown widely in parks and gardens.
