Distinguishing features

Plants wiry, more or less glabrous. Leaves alternate, margins toothed, dull green, 3-veined at base. Flowers with 5 yellow to pale orange petals. Fruit to 6 mm diam., 9-12 mericarps each with 2 ribs on back and 2 awns.
