Stems brittle, milky latex present. Leaves opposite, grey-green, waxy, succulent. Flowers bell-shaped, petals 5 partially fused, white with purple/mauve tips, lobes of corona purple, style cream. Follicles bladder-like, numerous seeds. Toxic.
