Description

Although this Central American plant is growing in a number of places there is a large plant at the end of Nursing Sciences. It forms a spreading shrub to about 2 m tall. In winter when deciduous this plant produces a mass of creamy white bracts and so the heads appear like miniature white poinsettias. The small flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies. Like many others in the family, a white milky latex appears when parts are broken, this latex may be a skin irritant.
