Description

Introduced from Central America this plant is valued for fodder in grazing areas but in other areas it is becoming a serious weed particularly along watercourses. It forms a shrub or small tree, with bipinnate leaves. The flowers, which are grouped into clusters or heads, have pale green petals and numerous white stamens. The pods are flat and dark-brown to 12 cm long and 2 cm wide.
