Flowers with staminal filaments either dark pink to purple or pale to medium pink, arranged in usually terminal clusters which resemble ‘powderpuffs’. Fruit white to cream to 2 x 1.6 mm. A hybrid between S. wilsonii and S. cryptophlebium called “Pink Cascade” has pale pink staminal filaments. There is a specimen growing near A4.
